From iftar to suhoor: Global Village Dubai unveils late-night Ramadan experiences for Season 30
Dining, shopping and family entertainment under one open-air destination
DUBAI – Global Village, the region’s premier multicultural family destination for entertainment, dining, shopping and attractions, is set to mark the holy month with the introduction of Ramadan in Season 30.
Throughout Ramadan, the open-air destination will transform into a lively evening hub that blends tradition, culture and family-friendly entertainment. Designed to reflect the values of togetherness, reflection and shared experiences, the seasonal programme invites residents and visitors to spend meaningful nights outdoors.
During Ramadan, Global Village will open daily from 5:00 PM to 1:00 AM from Sunday to Wednesday, extending until 2:00 AM from Thursday to Saturday. These extended hours allow guests to enjoy iftar, suhoor and late-night outings in a setting that brings together global cuisine, live performances and shopping across cultures. The destination’s seasonal transformation positions it as a key night-time venue during the holy month.
Ramadan timings
As part of Season 30, Global Village’s Ramadan operating hours are designed to accommodate families and groups looking to gather after sunset. The later closing times over weekends provide additional flexibility for visitors to explore the park at a relaxed pace, whether for dining, shopping or entertainment.
The open-air layout creates a comfortable environment for evening visits, while the curated Ramadan atmosphere adds a sense of occasion to every part of the destination. With its extended schedule, Global Village becomes a central evening meeting point throughout the holy month.
Multaqa Village
At the heart of Ramadan at Global Village is Multaqa Global Village, a free-to-access gathering space created especially for the season. Inspired by traditional majlis settings, the tent-style area is designed to encourage socialising and connection. Festoon lighting, comfortable seating and a welcoming layout set the tone for relaxed Ramadan nights.
Located in front of the Main Stage, Multaqa Global Village allows guests to bring food from the destination’s many kiosks and dining outlets. Visitors can also rent traditional games from the on-site team, adding an interactive element for families and groups. The space is intended for iftar, suhoor or casual late-night visits, offering a designated area to unwind and spend time together.
Live performances
Throughout Ramadan, the Main Stage will host a programme of live entertainment curated to reflect the spirit of the Holy Month. Performances include Orchestra, Oud, Nay, Harp and Violin shows, alongside the traditional Tannoura dance. Each performance is selected to complement the reflective atmosphere of Ramadan evenings.
In addition to musical performances, the Akher Kalam show hosted by Maitha Mohammed will run from 18 February to 18 March at 11:00 PM on the Main Stage. Families can also enjoy the Al Mandoos Live Game Show, hosted by Abdulla Esmaeel, which will take place at 9:30 PM across three consecutive weekends starting from the first weekend of Ramadan on Friday, 20 February.
To mark the holy month, Global Village will also stage a special drone show on Friday, 20 February, at 9:30 PM. The display will illuminate the night sky above the park, adding a visual highlight to the Ramadan programme.
Dining and shopping
Food plays a central role in Ramadan evenings at Global Village, with more than 250 dining options available across the destination. Restaurants, kiosks, cafes, street food stalls and pavilion eateries offer cuisines from around the world, catering to a wide range of tastes. Guests can choose to break their fast, enjoy suhoor or sample light bites throughout the night.
Shopping is another key feature of the Ramadan experience. With 30 cultural pavilions representing over 90 cultures, Global Village offers a diverse selection of products suited to the season. Visitors can browse décor items, clothing, gifts, household goods, traditional sweets and food essentials, making the destination a convenient stop for Eid preparations during the Holy Month.
In celebration of Ramadan, the park will also be adorned with traditional themed decorations. Lanterns, crescents, ambient lighting and photo-ready installations will be placed throughout the destination, creating a festive yet reflective setting for evening visits.
Adding an active element to the season, the Ramadan Step Challenge returns via the Global Village mobile app. Guests who complete 10,000 steps during a single visit by exploring the park will be eligible for rewards, encouraging movement while experiencing the destination’s offerings.
With its combination of extended hours, live entertainment, global cuisine and cultural shopping, Global Village’s Ramadan programme for Season 30 positions the destination as a focal point for evening gatherings during the Holy Month.
